A very interesting and most important MINT MINT watch with outer case made of under painted horn. A verge, fusee movement. MADE BY WILLIAM CLIFTON. Edge to edge, under painted horn was only used on very expensive watches, it has great colour, ALL of the pins are in place. With a nice watchmakers paper. The case is also in mint condition, and thehindge has never been repaired that shows how well it was looked after. Size of the case with the watch is 42 m. All the hinges and clips work well on the cases. The enamel dial is in perfect condition. Very fine original beetle and poker gold hands. The glass is very high clean and clear. Movement looks just like it had just left the work shop in 1790 gilt full plate fusee verge, pierced and engraved balance cock, nice pillars, silver Tompion regulator, signed on the back plate Wm CLIFTON LONDON. The timekeeping is great C aprox + or- 1 to 2 minuets per hour. Just great to have such an amazing and interesting watch that is as good as this one, and it just has every thing one could want on a fine verge watch, very hard to find a watch in this condition with all that it has going for it. This watch is so very well priced, and well presented. An absolute must for any serious collector or would make a wonderful present. This is a ninety/ninety-five years old Ermeto pocket watch, by Movado, very famous and still usable, but mainly a collectable piece. Solid silver case, with a beautiful and original, never redone, deco dial with gold Breguet style arabic numerals and index hands. You can wind the watch opening and closing the outer case, and this mechanism is still working. The watch measurements are: closed 47x33mm, open 71x32mm. Trattasi di un bellissimo Movado Ermeto in argento massiccio, databile intorno al 1930/35, ancora in ottimo stato e funzionante. Il corpo e la cassa interna sono in argento massiccio, il bellissimo quadrante, originale e mai ristampato è veramente affascinante, con dei grandi numeri arabi e le belle lancette index. For your consideration is an E. Howard Series X, J Size (12S) with 15 Jewels Pocket Watch. Watch was made between 1892 to 1899 and has a nice nickel movement. Total production of this Series by E. Howard was only 1,500. Watch is in working condition. The Dial has three small hairlines which can be seen in the pictures. Overall a very nice dial. The Umbrella Hands are nicely blued. The beveled crystal has normal scratches and small scuffs from daily use that do not interfere with reading the time. The Movement is a nice nickel with some scratches. The serial number is 500926. The watch is stem wind and stem set. The Open Face Hinged Case is marked Warranted Crescent 20 years. All three covers open right at 90 degrees. Overall the case doesn’t show much wear. There are what look like six pin pricks on the back cover which do not go through the case. They can be seen on the inside of the back cover.
