Up for sale is an extremely rare, all original key wind pocket watch made by Marion Empire City Watch Co. It was made in 1874 and is considered a 4 star watch as only about 100 were ever made!! It is a size 18 and has a very rare patented barrel. It is in the original beautiful 14k solid gold Hunter’s case, with a total weight of 4.3 ounces! It is in excellent condition and has been recently serviced to run and keep good time. Serviced : It was recently serviced on May 31st 2017: it was fully disassembled, cleaned, oiled and then a new unbreakable mainspring was installed. It was then adjusted to keep good time. Movement : The beautiful very rare key wind movement is in excellent condition. It has 15 jewels and does NOT have the butterfly cutout! It has a rare patented barrel that is unique. This exceptional movement is amazing – with matching serial numbers on all the parts! A key will be included. Dial : The original dial is in good condition for its age, but does show flakes and chips. Case : The beautiful 14k solid gold Hunter’s case is in excellent condition, and is all original, although the bow has been replaced. This is a beautifully decorated case and it has been tested and guaranteed to be at least 14k solid gold. The total weight of the watch is 4.3 ounces!
