Auguste Agassiz of Saint Imier & Geneva Starting manufacturing quality watches in 1832, eventually this company was inherited by Ernest Francillion who built the factory into the Longines Company. This watch would have been made in the mid 1850s. The movement is housed in an absolutely beautiful Dueber 14 Kt Gold Filled Case. Please scroll down for full description. 14k Gold Dürrstein Union Lange Glashutte High Grade Hunter Case Pocket Watch. This scarce pocket watch is in excellent running condition and the movement is absolutely stunning as you can see! The movement has the “nail set” mechanism. To set the hands, you press the lever in towards the movement, (it moves only about a millemeter) and set hands with the crown. When finished, press the crown button to release it and then the movement can be would. Note; “The dial and hands are no doubt by A Lange & Sohne” which would be a collaboration. The dial is beautiful and it is flawless! The crystal has a crack. The 14k gold case is in good condition with regular wear including some minor bumps or unevenness on the covers. Case measures 52mm and total weight is 94.3 grams. Comes with its original leather box from retailers Kettell & Blake of Boston which is in very good condition.
