Verge fusee Horn pair case pocket watch dated 1854 No 197. This is a key wind Horn pair case verge fusee made in 1854. Case: The case looks to be made of horn shell and I gurantee that it is. The outer case is in good condition with slight dings and fine crack and a couple of missing pins. The bezel is in good condition and gold gilting around the edge has worn. The inner gold gilted case is in good condition with small dings. The inside of the inner case has the London, date and silver Halmarks. The stem and bow are good.. The DIAL: The dial is white enamel has no hairlines. The gold hands are in good condition. This watch sets and winds with no problems. Has a bull nose glass crystal with fine scratching. The Movement: The movement is a very old key wind verge fusee. I do not know when this movement was last overhauled, but it runs and winds and sets fine.. Watch size: Across 50mm With stem and bow 72mm. Extras: This watch comes with a key chain and key. All questions are welcome. You won`t be dissapointed this is a very beautiful item.
