The dial is signed and is in excellent condition with a few hairlines along the bottom. · The Blued spade hour and minute hands are in excellent condition. · The beveled glass crystal is in excellent condition, no scratches, chips or cracks. Case: · The 18 size coin silver hinged, front, back and bezel hunting case is in excellent condition with normal wear. · The case is appropiately signed. · This is a 18 size KW and KS from the back case. Movement: · This is a Gilt 15 jewel movement keywind key set from the back. · Movement is appropriately signed and numbered 15,118. · Watch will run nicely with a little pressure on the train but then stops. Here’s Illinois’ First Model in superlative condition, with a perfect mirror image reflecting off the wide smooth back, a thick neck, wide, wind-able crown, and distinctively designed layer cake bow! This value-adding and highly prized case is in fully serviceable condition. I have restored and detailed this case right down to the threads so you get the best looking and working case possible! The back and bezel thread up easily, screw on and off smoothly, and both seat tight. The matching original crown’s fluting is practically like-new in sharpness for a tight, sure grip, and it turns freely but, by design, does not extract, so only a lever-set e. Bunn Special movement will work inside. The bow is also its correct original double stacked design, shows zero brass or damage, and swings loose. The crystal is a thick beveled mineral glass model and clear as still fresh water with no issues. This fine case fits all standard-featured lever-set-ONLY movements. The case does show exceptionally minimal wear, including nothing beyond the most unavoidable superficial scratches, zero marrings or doodlings, zero brass anywhere in its firmament, and certifiably and absolutely no sign of any dents, dings, dimples or depressions. This classic First Model Illinois railroad case is just about as clean and like-new looking as possible none of the brass ring around the high exposed edge, or around the base, or even the bow!!
