Amazing Private Label 17 Jewel 16 size Illinois Getty model Gold filled Hunter case pocket watch. Outstanding beautiful condition White porcelain dial with clean black Roman Numerals and Spotless Bright Blue colored hands. Dial has tiny repair near the 7 ring. Front cover springs open strong to near 90 degrees. All case covers open, close and snap shut perfectly together. Nice clean bow with a real sharp crown. The crystal is super spotless. The movement is super clean. The Illinois 17 jewel movement serial number 160705 dates to 1910. The 16 size 3/4 plate Getty model 4 lever set movement has a clean wavy demaskeeing and polished Gold jeweled settings with a sharp clean winding wheel. It’s a 17 Jewel model 174 Hunter case Private Label from R. Milwaukee, Wisconsin with matching dial, Pocket watch that sets and runs outstanding with all pivots lightly oiled and the balance with unbelievable beautiful motion and has been keeping outstanding time. Note all of my pocket watches have been personally serviced and restored to there best working order according to there age and condition. The 106 year old Getty model is a high quality Illinois Hunter movement. The near Mint condition S. Star 20 year Gold Filled case is unbelievable with beautiful fine detail work and intricate machining designs on both front and rear cover and a beautifully clean open shield on the front. The rear cover has a crisp design in the shield of what looks to be a road and fence. The case has absolutely no wear thru or brassing at. This is another example of a Great quality Illinois pocket watch that keeps unbelievable time that is all set and ready to be carried and showed off with pride.
