Rare Amazing condition 21 Jewel 18 size Elgin No. 348 Gold filled Box Hinge Hunter case pocket watch. Outstanding beautiful white colored porcelain dial with large bold black numbers and just beautiful Blue colored hands. Front cover springs open nearly perfectly to 90 degrees. All case covers open, close and fit perfect together. The bow is nice and stiff. The glass crystal is spotless. The movement is gleaming and Amazingly super clean. The Elgin 21 Jewel, model No. 348 movement has serial number 11185042 which dates to 1905. The 18 size full plate lever set movement is adjusted to 5 positions and has a Moseley Regulator. The Gold Jeweled settings are complemented by the beautifully colorful Red Jewels. The nickeled demaskeening radiates beautifully. Pocket watch sets and runs outstanding with all pivots lightly oiled and the balance has beautiful motion and has been keeping great time. Note all of my pocket watches have been personally serviced and restored to there best working order according to there age and condition. The Elgin 21 Jewel No. 348 Hunter model movement is very Rare with only 4000 made within 3 years of production. It’s a top quality Railroad Grade Elgin Hunter movement. The 14k Gold filled case is stamped with the symbol for a J. Boss 25 year 14k Gold filled Hunter Box Hinge case. The Hunter Box Hinge cases are much harder to come by then the regular Hunter cases, which makes this an even more Rarer beauty. The large solid detailed hinges and the sharp clean case covers and detailed house and design with absolutely no wear thru at all makes this a real beauty. The case also has a nice solid and tight feel. I have personally carried this watch and enjoyed it very much. Now This pocket watch is ready to be carried and showed off with pride by someone else.
