THANK YOU for considering our mirrory and fine, late-model wear-free Hamilton railroad-approved Case Model #17, 16 size, open face, Star 10K yellow gold fill, bar-over-crown design, slot right, screw-back-and-bezel, fancy dress or more likely railroad case! Here’s Hamilton’s late-model #17, with with a wide, smooth and mirror-image preserved back framed by the interlocking loop pattern, the thick railroad-approved style of neck, wide signed original crown and intact bar-over feature!! This highly collectible and fine case is in fully serviceable condition. I have restored and detailed this case right down to the threads and the crystal ledge so you get the best looking and working case possible! The back and bezel thread up easily, screw on and off smoothly, and both seat tight. The correct signed original “Hamilton Railroad” crown’s fluting is still sharp and defined for a tight, sure grip, and it turns freely but, by design, does not extract, so only a lever-set e. Hamilton railroad-grade movement will work inside. The bow is also correct and original its peaked design – shows zero brass or damage, and holds tight to all positions. The bar-over’s tubing has some super slight central-only winding wear as is so common for this design, but is 99.5% intact and correct. The crystal is missing. This fine case fits all standard-featured lever-set-ONLY movements. The case does show exceedingly minimal wear, including nothing other than superficial scratches, zero marrings, zero doodlings, zero brass to be sure, and absolutely, positively no sign of any dents, dings, dimples or depressions!! George prior Big Verge fusee Horn pair case pocket watch No 185. This is a key wind BigHorn pair case verge fusee made in the late 1813. Case: The 1st case looks to be made of horn shell and I gurantee that it is. The case is in beautiful condition with a few missing pins The bezel is in very good condition and silver gilting around the edges. The inner gold gilted case No 2 is in very good condition with one small ding and the push pin has slight wear. The inside has the London , date and silver halmarks and Case makers IR halmark The inner Movement case No 3 has a few small dings and has the same halmarks as the outer case. The stem and bow are very good. The DIAL: The dial is white enamel has one hairline and signes GEORGE PRIOR LONDON. Has no hairlines or chips. The pure gold hands are in very good condition. This watch sets and winds with no problems. Has a bull nose glass crystal in very good condition. The Movement: The movement is a very old key wind verge fusee signed Geo Prior London 38197. I do not know when this movement was last overhauled, but it runs and winds and sets fine.. Watch size: Across 72mm With stem and bow 85mm. Extras: This watch comes with a key chain and key.
