Rare Amazing Hamilton 21 Jewel 16 size model 971 Display case pocket watch. Outstanding beautiful White porcelain dial with bold black numbers and large brilliant Blue colored hands. The dial has only a few extremely faint spider lines. The front and rear covers. Snap on and off nicely. Both front and rear glass crystals are near spotless. The movement is gleaming and super clean in Amazing condition. The Hamilton 21 jewel movement serial number 315088 dates to 1905. The 16 size 3/4 plate Rare model 971 Rail Road Grade Double Roller adjusted to (5) Positions has super Brilliant Raised Gold Jeweled settings and Gold train. The movement also has a beautifully unusual demaskeening and near spotless winding wheels. The pendant set Pocket watch winds, sets and runs outstanding with all pivots lightly oiled and the balance with beautiful super motion, which has been keeping outstanding time. Note all of my pocket watches have been personally serviced and restored to there best working order according to there age and condition. I have personally enjoyed carrying this watch. The outstanding condition display case is marked “Hamilton” on both front and rear covers. This is truly a beautiful 1 Star Rarity as listed in the Complete price guide to watches book with a very low production rate. 18 size 21 jewel open face lever-set Bunn Special pocketwatch. Good looking high grade railroad grade watch, this example is from the later end of production as the 18 size Bunn Specials in the 4.4 million serial number range were produced in about 1923 and were the last 18 size railroad grade watches that Illinois made. Watch is fronted by its correct double-sunk enamel dial and is housed in a nickel glassback display case that shows off the movement very nicely. Movement serial number is 4432248. Running and a nice looking movement with good color and luster. Balance jewel setting is missing a screw. Dial is excellent with just a small curved hairline near the edge between the 11 minute and 13 minute positions. Case is in good condition with a nice in hand look and feel. The outside of the case is marked Hamilton Watch – The Watch of Railroad Accuracy. The case is marked on the inside as well Hamilton Watches. Inside the case are 10 Hamilton display pocket watch cases. I did not clean anything or do anything to this case. Everything is exactly as I have found it. Each case has one bezel that is marked Hamilton. Four of the cases are missing crystals. All of the case except for one are missing bows. Three cases are missing stems and bows. A few of the cases have a bit of corrosion but it looks like it will clean off. There is a little bit of a gap on the inside of the case at the right hand side. Each spot for a case has a loose piece of velvet. The rest of the velvet is not loose it. I don’t know if the velvet was replaced at one time or that is just how it was made. Overall the outer case is in nice condition for its age. The locks on the front of the case are marked W&S Inc. The case measures approximately 15″x8.25″x1.25. Check out my other items.
