Antique 1758 Georgian 18th Century Verge Fusee Pair Cased Cased Pocket Watch. This pocket watch is not actually verge but a leaver watch. It was made in 1758 by Thomas Ore of Wolverhampton who was working until 1779. The watch has square pillars and a lovely engraved movement. The cases are original to the best of my knowledge they fit so well I dont see how they could be anything else. The inner case is made of silver guilt and is hallmarked for London 1758. There are some condition issues as can be seen in the photos but its still a nice looking watch. The watch movement is for spears or repair. The balance wheel appears to be later and is not swinging. However the chain is intact. The item “Antique 1758 Georgian 18th Century Verge Fusee Pair Cased Cased Pocket Watch” is in sale since Sunday, September 5, 2021.
