1887 Illinois Watch Co’G. M. Wheeler’ 15J 18S Hunter Case 103 Grade

They were meticulous in caring for their treasures and the condition of these items shows that. Please take a moment to look at my other auctions for more finds! Men’s Pocket Watch. Elgin on face, and’G M Wheeler’ etched on mechanism (see photos). The watch has the following properties. Manufacture date: circa 1887. Nothing stamped on inside of case except’74001′ on the inside of the inner back cover. Design: Hunting- Has Bird engraved on back. Monogram plate on front is blank and unengraved. Color: Gold plated or filled? I wound it a little bit, and it runs, all hands work. Face has no cracks, or other damage. Case is excellent and beautifully designed with little wear. No dents or dings. Excellent collector’s piece! If you have questions, please ask!
