Nice mid-XVIII verge fusee pocket watch. Made by Smith, London and bears serial number 3366. London hallmarks date inner case to 1767. Outer case is made in repousse technique and is decorated by classical scene Diana and Actaeon?? It is in nice condition, without soldering, please see photos. Good quality work – well detailed figures of peoples and , nice rocaille ornament. Movement is typical verge British movement of mid-XVIII. It features nice pierced and engraved balance cock with grotesque face, square baluster pillars, steel balance wheel. Movement is in working condition. The dial seems to be in nice condition with minor defects, please see photos.. Outer case diameter is 50mm, height is 57mm, thickness is 26mm. Good collector item, don’t miss it.
