This beautiful antique timepiece is a size 6s has a case diameter of 39mm. The watch weighs a substantial 49.6 grams, about half of which is 14K gold. This fine Victorian Waltham is in excellent condition with no dings, dents, scratches or repairs. The dial is perfect. The front cover pops open to just past 90 degrees when the stem is depressed. The bow is excellent with none of the wear or looseness commonly found. The polished 14K gold cuvee has an engraved dedication that reads. In elegant fine script. The watch is stem wind and set. The wind is silky smooth and it keeps excellent time. Note the incredible hand chased decorations that completely cover this 11mm thick pocket watch! Each cover features intricate florals, scrolls and flourishes over an engine turned ground. The case edge also features exquisite sectional scroll engravings. Please examine the many photos for a close look. There’s an elegant monogram cartouche at the front cover center that’s never held a monogram, a real plus for collectors! The signed ” WALTHAM ” snow white porcelain dial is pristine. With black Roman numerals and a small sunken seconds sweep marked out in 10 second intervals.
