The Elgin National Watch Company had its birth in 1864, at the time of the US Civil War. In 1874, the company officially changed its name to the Elgin National Watch Company and in 1910 it made its first wrist watch. This Fancy Multi-Color Enamel Dial, Size 18 Elgin G. Wheeler Hunting Case Pocketwatch is in Fabulous Condition inside and out. The dial has Blue Arabic Numerals with Gold Circles and a Pink Center and Red and Green Triangles with a Gold outer design. It has Gold King Louis XIV Hands which are in excellent condtion. The Model 2, Lever Set. Movement is a Grade 103, 17 Jewel marked G. Safety Pinion with the serial number. Dating it to 1893. The movement is running and setting properly and keeping excellent time following a complete overhaul in the last week. The 14 Karat Yellow Gold Filled Boxed Hinge Hunting Case is phenomenal and is marked for the Dueber Watch Case Co. 542533, on the inside case cuvette. The hinges close and open properly.
