M J TOBIAS SILVER POCKET WATCH. I BELIEVE THIS IS A CHINESE DUPLEX BASE ON THE PLATE DECORATION. CASE MEASURS 52 mm. CUVETTE IS SIGNED 13J. WATCH IS NOT RUNNING. MISSING BAIL AND THE PUSHER (CROWN) TO OPEN CASE. FEELS LIKE MAIN SPRING IS BROKEN. BALANCE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE BROKEN, BUT IS MOVING VERY SLOWLY.

It features a full hunter closure, 13 jewels, and a Roman numeral porcelain dial. The watch is made of polished silver and has a snap caseback. The anchor escapement and mechanical movement make it a unique piece for collectors. The watch is in need of repair and is not currently working. Don’t see many 13 jewel pocket watches out there.. Also this is a very low serial number.. It’s rather a large pocket watch.. Which according to the chart says it’s about a 20s.. So if you put this all together, you got 13 J , low serial number , and the size of the pocket watch.. I think it’s kind of rare. Nonworking order but I’m sure it can be repaired.
