This 18s Crescent watch case is in just phenomenal condition. It is a “Silver-filled” case. Same basic procedure as Gold- filling. The rose gold eagle with the flag/ shield in it’s talons shows almost no wear at all. The case itself has no dents and very few scratches. The pendant hardware is good and the bow is tight. This one is for the patriotic folks out there.

CHINESE DUPLEX ESCAPEMENT INLAID STONE SILVER HUNTING CASE KEY WIND POCKET WATCH. Beautiful pocket watch with lovely in lady detail of what I believe is Lapiz jade red coral and other. It could be potentially enamel. There is a spot for a monogram but it is not monogrammed. All the markings are in Chinese. The detail is absolutely wonderful. Please take note of the intricate detailing inside the pocket watch. Glass crystal does have scratching and marks however it is still very easy to read. Comes with the key. The pocket watch does wind and appears to keep time accurately however there are no guarantees on it and we highly recommend service. It also comes with the original pocket watch chain that is also in Chinese of making with 2 medallions with the goats on them. Most likely indicating the zodiac year of the goat along with the T bar for the vest. A Time Piece is rare to come in so complete with all pieces. All the markings are in Chinese however the pocket watch does test for sterling silver however there is minor abrasion and small chips in all the inlaid or enameled pieces. If you’ve been looking for a Chinese caliber watch this is an ideal time piece pocket watch chain also test for sterling silver. 12.5 mm thickness. Pocket watch chain weighs 18.99. It is a double chain and currently the links from the double chain to the end of the medallions is just a touch over 12 inches the tea bar is on a short chain of only 1 inch and the bar itself is 1.25 inches long approximately there is a little looped leader chain attached to it that I’m not positive the reason behind. It also has the looping C clasp to attach it is in functioning order but it is bent. The key functions well for the watch and does wind it appropriately however I do not feel it was the original key that came with the watch in my opinion.

This case is for 18s, pendant set, American movements only. However, I will cut it for a lever set movement if you ask. It is in very good condition with a thick NOS glass crystal. Circa 1901 based on the serial number. The watch case measures approx. 41.2mm in diameter. Size 6 or 6s. The white enamel dial is stamped AMERICAN WALTHAM and is in excellent shape. Brand new crystal (not shown in the photos). The original gold filled hunting case is in very good condition. Both lids open and close properly. Nice floral and scroll etching to both sides with inlaid green, yellow, rose , and white gold. I did acid test the case and it appears to be gold filled while the N and Cartouche test for 14K GOLD The inner rear cover is stamped WARRANTED PERMANENTLY 932493 The movement is stamped 11068xxx ADJUSTED A. Antique 18 size Waltham open-face pendant set 1883 model American Waltham Watch Co. Movement #5955750 runs with decent motion but it has NOT had a routine servicing in a long time. While running overnight in the dial up position it was about 1.5 minutes slow as compared with the clock on my pc. It has 17 jewels, adjusted, Breguet hairspring, patent regulator, all features which would have made it railroad grade for its time. Good looking Canadian style 24 hr dial. Open morning glory style hands. Nevada coin silver case has gold inlaid lumberjack scene on back. No extra screw marks in case. It has wear and some minor dings, but is still very interesting, unusual, and in nice condition. Used and worn as shown in detailed high resolution pictures.
