Pocket Watch Case

Today I have for sale an extremely nice example of the Bunn Special model 163 with in exceptionally nice condition. The dial is the highly desirable marked version which is in absolutely perfect condition. Usually these dials have hairlines or chips but this one is absolutely flawless. The case is a model 173 and it is also in spectacular condition. There is almost no noticeable wear at all and no dents. The beautiful engraving on the back is still nice and crisp. The only thing you can notice on the case is slight wearing of the gold filling around the crown which is very minor. The movement is beautiful and super clean. It is running well and keeping time. This is one of the nicest examples I have ever seen of one of the best railroad watches from the time period. Please let me know if you have any questions. Not only this watch is rare do to being a sixty hour signed movement but it is also rare because it is housed in a original and solid Sangamo Special 14 karat Green Gold Case. Movement serial number 4758916, made in 1926. It works well and keeps excellent time. Dial is glass enameled double sunk Montgomery style. One hairline at 26 minute mark and surface scratch at 1 o’clock. Diamond shape blued steel hands are 100% original and in great shape. Solid 14 karat green gold and original Sangamo Special. Hinges are very strong, only wear is on the bow and crown. Covers open and close perfectly. Running well, but has not been serviced or tested by us, striking well with nice loud tone, full sequence past 12:45 with striking on two gongs for each quarter; calendar advances early in the evening, could be adjusted to move closer to midnight; dial has filled edge chip to side of date dial, another edge chip to side of seconds, hairline running from there through seconds down to 5; hands are near mint, the seconds only excellent; case shows little wear, complete engine-turned detail with little reduction, no dents or dings, tight bow, light wear to crown with a single section of cladding gone.
