Pocket Watch Case

Antique Patent Systeme A. Kaiser jump hour & jump minute display open face pocket watch in English Sterling Silver case. Weighs 125g / 4.4 oz. Marked with british sterling silver “lion” mark on inside of case back and dustcover and on ring. Marked with an anchor and a gothic lower case l on inside of caseback, indicating city of Birmingham, 1910. Marked with JW on inside of caseback and dust cover, indicating Joseph Walton as case maker. Case has dents and dings to edge, quite a bit of wear to the engraving on the back. The hinge for the inner dustcover is partially detached. Watch winds, sets, ticks and runs, but could use a service. Watch will run for a few hours and stop, sometimes the minutes will change slowly instead of “snapping” into place. Dial is simple with white center, a small gold ring and then a pink outer band. One 14K white GF 16S Illinois 60 hour Bunn Special 21 jewel, lever set pocket watch. It has a clean beautiful movement with lovely stripe damascening on the plates, marked sixty hour Bunn special Illinois watch Co. 21 jewel motor barrel, double roller, adjusted temperature, six positions #4804086 (serial number) which puts production at a 1926 date. All the plates and screw heads are beautiful! This movement is in superb condition, running strong and keeping time. Riple-sunk porcelain dial, with no flaws! The watch has nice blued steel hands. The case is the original one for this watch. The case is marked. Unn Special model 181 Fahys 14 karat gold filled 682622. Bezel and back screw on and off okay. The crystal is glass and needs to be polished or replaced. It has a few nicks and quite a few scratches. All this watch needs is a good cleaning and a new crystal to be in mint condition! Bunn Special 23J 60 Hour. 16 size 23 jewel open face lever-set Bunn Special 60 Hour pocketwatch. Very nice looking example of this top grade railroad watch fronted by a double-sunk enamel “Illinois, Bunn Special, 23 Jewel 60 Hour” signed dial and housed in the very attractive white gold-filled Model 206 Bunn Special case. Movement is the scarcer late marking variant of the Type III 60 hour which was produced after Hamilton’s takeover and is marked as “Illinois Watch” rather than Illinois Watch Co. Movement serial number is 5218769. Running and a beautiful movement with excellent color and luster. Dial faces up very nicely but does have a light hairline in the center section and also two very light hairlines at the bottom below the seconds-bit. Case has an excellent in hand look and feel and is far stronger than most Model 206 examples and case has just some weakness to the bow with some minor wear to brass on the bow, some looseness/play to the bow, and a small split to part of the lower left portion of the bow where it meets the neck.
