Offered is a nice old Elgin Coin Silver Case KW pocket watch. Bright Chas Fargo movement seems to have a good staff and is wound tight, but not running – seems gummed up, so needs at least a cleaning. Dial is original hand painted in great condition, as are the blued hands. Case is 3oz class Coin silver with fancy engine turning inside front lid. Back has initials as shown, edge dent, broken lift spring. Shows well and seems all original. Nice tougher to find Chas Fargo Elgin in Silver case, look at pics at judge for yourself. This is a very nice antique watch from a local estate. It measures 48mm in diameter (outer Case). The watch is in a plain silver pair case. The movement has square pillars, verge fusee, pierced balance cock, signed Cha Bifield 4787 LONDON. The movement is in very good condition, and runs. The white porcelain dial is original. It does have an edge chip at the bottom. The outer pair case has no marks whatsoever. The inner case has 2 marks visible that are rubbed and hard to read. I can see the lion silver standard, and the other mark looks like the crowned leopard head. There is also a case makers mark that looks like an HT to me. The outer case has some side dents from normal age and use. It has a good strong case lock spring. The watch has a plastic replacement crystal. A key is included.
