WWII Elgin Railroad Grade 478 B. Raymond 16S 21J Jewel Pocket Watch with a Custom Navy Case. This a very unique U. Navy presentation pocket watch. This watch had to be special as Elgin was supplying watches to government contracts for the war effort. I have not seen one before like it and probably never will. It looks like it was put away and not used much. It is in excellent original condition for the age. Just light normal wear. Silveroid and Gold Filled. It has a raised Navy Fouled Anchor on the back case cover. Covers screw on nicely. The back cover does stick sometimes at the very end of opening it and you have to give it a little lift with your finger nail. It may have a small bur on the thread. The dial has a couple faint hairlines. The close up photos and lighting gave them a blue tint but you can hardly see them with the eye. The crystal has light surface scratches. It is running strong and keeping good time. I do not know the service history so I can’t guarantee to continued accuracy. I would have this special watch serviced as a baseline. Longines signed Keystone base metal pocket watch case. 54mm exterior diameter excluding crown. Original matching Type A-9 magnetic shield anti-shock carrying case manufactured by Time Laboratory for Longines-Wittnauar. 2 piece case measures 4″ in diameter x 2″ tall. Locking mechanism that locks down lid is not present. Fresh out of a local estate. Very good vintage condition. Watch runs from a few minutes to a few hours and stops. This is a steel chronograph Omega watch from a local estate. It is open face, and measures 50mm in diameter. The case has a hinged double back, and is marked ACIER STAYBRITE, along with Omega markings and the number 9575633. The case is in excellent, condition, with a B on the case back. The movement has a good balance and runs a bit, and stops. It has not been cleaned or serviced in years, and is dirty. The chronograph with start, stop, and return, but also soon stops when engaged. This watch needs to be serviced before it will be a good runner. The porcelain dial is good, with a couple of edge chips. The central chronograph hand is gilt, and is short (looks like the tip has broken off). This is a nice original triple signed Omega, ready to be restored.
