Offered for sale is a beautiful, Solid 14KT Gold Hunter Case “Ladies” watch produced by the Waltham Mfg. In the 1890′s. This is the information on the watch based on the Mfg. January 1893 – September 1898. Estimated production date of the movement according to factory records. Hunting: The stem is at the 3:00 position, and the movement is meant to be mounted in a case that has a covering over the face. “Sidewinders” are hunting movements in openface cases. T he watch is in working/running condition it was last serviced/cleaned 2015. The case is solid 14KT gold and the inside of the back case has the case information B W C CO. 14KT serial number 8371200. The enameled face in in very nice condition with no crack lines or chips. The inside of the front cover has an inscription as shown in the pictures and the back cover on the inside has the maker of the case and the fineness of the watch cover as shown in the pictures. The watch movement is described above in detail from the company’s record based on the serial number of the movement. (See pictures for close ups). The watch is in excellent, used condition, with a beautiful design on the front and back of the case. There is a set of initials on the front of the case and an engraved rose on the back side as shown in the pictures. The dark spots are reflections off the dark blue camera.
