Here is a nice Waltham Cresent Street 21 jewel 16 size pocket watch in a J Boss Mainliner style case. The case has some brassing around the rear cover edge and the bow, few light dings in the case. Edge and rear cover, there are reflections of my tablet in the pictures the case displays well. Watch sets winds and runs fine but not tested for accuracy. Serial number 23115655 dates it to 1919, crystal is nice and clear glass, hands are nice and blue. Please look at the pictures for a better idea of the condition. This is a rare Waltham 21 jewel 16 size Crescent Street wind indicator in a Nawco “Challenge” gold filled case complete with snap on dust cover. The case is in fine condition with no evidence of wear. The movement is very clean and in the traditional Waltham quality has beautiful damaskeening with gold screw down jewel settings. The double sunk porcelain dial has some damage at the seconds bit, but otherwise shows very nicely. The watch was recently cleaned and serviced, running great, and keeping good time. The wind indicator responds exactly as it should when winding. This version of wind indicator (Crescent Street) by Waltham is much more difficult to find than the typical Vanguards. The movement also retains a sweet bright gilt original finish. The pair case measures 56.5 mm in diameter and is brass case with gilt finish. The case is polished and retains some of the original gilt finish. The movement recently serviced is beautiful! Very fine quality London made verge fusee with high quality piercing/engraved plates. The movement also has a diamond end stone(jewel on balance cock). It is running strong with great action and keeps excellent time.
