THE CASES With two solid and strong plain polished Sterling silver case. The outer cover is hinged and has a spring back button catch to open and close the case. The inner plain polished case has a hinged front bezel to access the front swing out movement and a keyhole at the back to wind the movement. It has a Sterling silver verge bow. Both cases are in mint showroom condition, without any dents, pin marks or scratches, Both hinges are in good strong order with both case covers opening correctly to snap shut firmly. The outer case measures 56.5mm (approx 2.2 inches) in diameter, without including the top stem or bow measurement and the combined weight of both cases including movement is 146g (approx 5 ozs). The cases have no personal inscriptions and are both original to the movement. THE DIAL & CRYSTAL A white enamel dial with bold black Roman numerals and gilt spade hands and a bullseye mineral glass crystal. The dial is in mint condition without any hairlines or chips, the hands and bullseye type glass crystal are also in mint condition without any scratches or chips. THE MOVEMENT A key wound and key set full plate English Verge movement with chain-driven Fusee. Signed by listed clock and watch maker Geo. Border, Sleaford and serial numbered 88084 to match the case. Specification to include : Cylindrical pillars, broad flat steel balance under a fine pierced balance cock of foliate design incorporating a grotesque face mask. It has a Bosley type regulator with calibrated scale on the top plate with Slow & Fast. It is wound from the back and set from the front centre of the dial using the same provided watch key. The movement is in pristine condition without any discerning marks, the screws retain their original deep blue lustre. All mechanical parts are in A1 condition and perfect working order including the chain which runs it’s full length. It has been fully cleaned, oiled, serviced and tested in November 2018 and keeps to very good verge pocket watch time.
