This stunning antique Elgin Grade 289 pocket watch is a true treasure for watch collectors and enthusiasts. Crafted in the United States in 1909, this yellow gold filled pocket watch features a beautiful white dial with Arabic numerals and indices. With a mechanical (manual) movement and 7 jewels, this unisex adult pocket watch also features a seconds hand and 12-hour dial. The snap caseback and pocket watch size of 6s make it a perfect addition to any collection. Although not currently running, this Elgin Grade 289 is a remarkable piece of history that deserves a special place in any watch enthusiast’s collection. The counter balance will move when gently shaking the watch, but it does not stay running. The watch is wound up. Condition as shown in the pictures. Movement Serial Number: 13927264. Clean, strong running, excellent fully functional condition. The movement has been Professionally cleaned, serviced, timed, and adjusted. The case bezel and back screw on and off smoothly and securely. The crown also winds and sets smoothly. A watch from my collection. This combination of movement, dial, hands, and case was curated and assembled by me.
