1952 Hamilton 992B Railway Special Pocket Watch 21j in a 10K R. This is a beautiful pocket watch it is another one out of my personal collection, I offer you a 1952 Hamilton 992B Railway Special Pocket Watch 21j, lever set Crown, and stem wind. Model 5, Adjusted to temp. And 6 positions, the movement has been serviced as of 2/20/21 and it is super clean, It Winds, Sets & Runs, keeps a great Time, I just got it back from being serviced, it is ticking strong and keeping amazing time. C357194 Housed in a nice 10K R. Hamilton original Case, No. The crown is in excellent condition the bow is firm, both covers glide on/off smoothly, it is a very nice and clean case near mint, you might detect some pocket scratches on the right side of the case body and a few small nicks on the bow from normal use but nothing major, No dents No brass no dimples. The crystal is new and also close to mint Box Car Dial, Double Sunk, showing a very faint hard-to-see small hairline above the sub-dial and a flea bite at the 53 of the second sub. No chips, no cracks on this dial. The nice Black spade and whip steel hands are intact. The Electric Railway Special was designed for trolley and light-rail drivers who did not require a watch that met the criteria for mainline railroad service. This is a 16-size watch, and measures approximately 50mm (2) diameter. This watch features a gold-filled screw back and bezel case, a 17-jewel adjusted stem-wind stem-set Grade 956 movement, and a single-sunk Montgomery style Electric Railway Special porcelain dial with Arabic numerals. The Elgin yellow gold filled case is in excellent condition, showing signs of normal pocket carry and no visible brassing. The Montgomery dial is in excellent condition, showing a few very minor hairlines not noticeable unless you look very closely. The movement runs and keeps good time. Overall, a presentable watch that is ready to carry with pride or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces. Offered is a fine example of a Hamilton “Railway Special”, size 16s Model 6 Railroad Grade pocket watch circa 1942-43. It has the 950B movement, 23 jewels, is adjusted to six positions and is in excellent condition with the exception of the dial which has some minor damage. There is a light hairline crack at the 9 position, another from the center up to the 11 position, between the 4 and 5 and very small nicks at the upper left center; these can be seen in my pictures. The crystal is clean and scratch free and the 10k gold filled case is in excellent condition with no brassing and only very minor light scratches on the back of the case. The case has the rare bar over crown feature. This watch has been well maintained and is running strong and keeping good time.
