Made in Switzerland by MINERVA WATCH Co. Collector’s estate find. Birmingham (UK) retailer info partially erased on dial. 100% original patina, unpolished case. Watch is ticking but hands don’t move. Not in good order. Half hunter, roman numerals outside. Stem wind, stem set. Gold filled (10 years, STAR by Dennison). 50 mm wide x 65 mm tall x 14 mm thick. Acrylic (later replacement, unsure if original). 42.1mm – Arabic. Major chip & some hairlines. Not guaranteed or tested as waterproof, like any vintage watch. Québec : TPS (5%) + TVQ (9.975%) = (14.975%) – Ontario, New-Brunswick, & Newfoundland: (13%) – Nova Scotia : (15%) – All the other provinces: BC, AB, SK, MB, PE. NT, NU, YT: GST only (5%). High Grade Minerva Chronograph Pocket Watch For Repair in Silver Case. Please see photographs for condition and size. No manufacturers markings visible but have been told it is a Minverva calibre and it is identical to those revealed on a Google search. The issues are as follows. Stem is loose and I cannot get it to wind. Part of the movement protrudes where it should not under the dial, this has caused damage to the dial which can be seen in pictures. Wear and tear marks to the case. The balance is good and moves freely, but does get stuck when swinging some times. Pallet does not move the escape wheel presently. THIS IS A WW1 ERA GUN METAL CASED MINERVA CHRONOGRAPH POCKET WATCH. IT DATES FROM AROUND 1914-18. IT IS SIGNED ON THE DIAL SWISS MADE. IT IS SIGNED ON THE MOVEMENT MINERVA SWISS MADE. SO IT HAS BEEN ENGRAVED ON THE BACK PLATE G. CG 30 10,239 No 1FHR 54. IT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, WITH JUST VERY MINOR AGE TO THE GUN METAL CASE. THE ENAMEL DIAL HAS ONE VERY LIGHT HAIRLINE ON THE DIAL, IT HAS A HAIRLINE AND TINY CHIP ON ITS EDGE UNDER THE CASE RIM. THE GLASS IS VERY CLEAN. IT HAS AN INSET DIAL OF UP TO 30 MINUTES. THE CHRONOGRAPH RUNS WELL, RESETTING TO ZERO AS IT SHOULD. THE WATCH ALSO WINDS SMOOTHLY AND RUNS WELL, KEEPING GOOD TIME. IT IS 49MM ACROSS ITS CASE.
