For your consideration we have a very nice Longines 39mm hunt case key wind/key set pocket watch that runs. Although the watch is running, it has not been serviced and service may be needed before use. The watch comes with a watch chain with a key. The case is unmarked. The case has some light scratches and dings. The dial has some damage at the 4 and 10. The hands have the longines flying hourglass logo on them. The crystal has some very light scratches but still looks good. The case measures about 44mm without the crown and bow. Please refer to pictures for more information. This is a vintage Elgin 18 size 15 jewel G. Wheeler key wind/key set pocket watch out of an estate! The watch is in a big heavy Dueber coin silver case! The movement is marked: G. Wheeler 118176 Patent Elgin Ill. The serial number on the movement dates the watch to 1870. The watch will currently run/wind/set properly. The dial is marked: National Watch Co. The hands have been replaced at some point. The inside of the case back is marked: Dueber Coin 323228. The case is in good condition, there are some light scratches. The case back is engraved T. It has a key wind key set movement with serial number 651421, dates this watch to 1872. It will not run, looks like it is over banked. Watch is from private collection where it was kept in the vault for dozens of years. Dial is glass enameled single sunk. With several hairlines, well shown on the photos. Hands are in good shape. We only sell 100% AUTHENTIC items. Both front and back sides of the case are fully adorned with enamel, with the front having the entire portrait and the back covered in blue monochrome enamel. The portrait also has three small diamonds. Ring around the center enamel sections is also covered in filler black line enameling, this pocket watch is just gorgeous with all this artwork. The movement used is a regular key wind/set Swiss bar lever caliber. The hunting case has no solid gold mark so most likely it’s gold filled. Condition-wise the watch DOES NOT RUN but the balance is good (and very gummy/dirty). It will run fine after clean/oil/adjust. Cosmetically the enamel is superb with no chips or losses even to the edges for both front and back plates. Even the black filler enamel lines are fully intact. Bezel is missing and dial has some crack/chip. The case has a few dents along the case band. Return can be made if the item received significantly deviate from the lot description and must be made within 3 days after receiving item.
