Hamilton 992 B 21 Jewels RailRoad type Pocket Watch in original Bakelite Factory box. Fresh from an Estate, all original and unmolested. The crystal has yellowed from age. The 10K gold filled Hamilton case looks nice. Winds and sets normally, it ran and kept time for several hours after winding, then stopped. Dial has a small crescent shape crack near the edge between the 2 and 3, and a tiny edge nick between the 8 and 9. A very interesting and most important silver pair case. WITH SILVER BACK PLATE AND A BALANCE COCK WITH. A verge, fusee movement. T MOORE LISTED MAKER. The inner silver case with the watch size of case is 42 m. Both cases are hallmarked London for 1768. The weight of the watch 105 grams. All the hinges and clips work well on the cases. The dial has some small fissures probable bleach out. Very fine original blued steel beetle and poker hands. The glass is very high bull nose clean and clear. The fire gilt movement look just like the day it left the work shop. The watch runs well. Verge time keeping C + or – 2-3 minuets per hour. With a silver back plate, a very interesting green glass cover over the balance cock , square pillars, a Tompion regulator. Signed on the back plate T MOORE LONDON. MOORE IS VERY WELL LISTED. Watch will come with a key. Just great to have such an amazing and interesting watch that is as good as this one, and it just has every thing one could want on a fine verge watch, very hard to find a watch in this condition with all that it has going for it. The Impossible Estate Find! A True 1928 Time Capsule. NOS 1928 Elgin Model 2. Grade 301 12S Pocket Watch. With the Original Elgin Slip Box. And the Original Elgin Movement Tin. Including the Original Jas. Half Hunter Case w/Perfect Glass Crystal. And the Original Jas. An impossible estate find that has been preserved for the last 89 years! Completely undisturbed Elgin movement along with the intended case that were never put together. The Elgin movement shows no oxidation, corrosion of any kind. Boss cardboard hang tag still in magnificent condition hanging from the beautiful Gold Plated Hunter Case. Belongs in a museum! The serial numbers on the movement correspond exactly to the serial numbers on the Elgin box. The movement and case were kept together for decades until finally winding up in the hands of a wealthy watch collector, whose estate sale encompassed over 500 rare, highly collectible pieces in Illinois a few years ago. Should the movement ever be put inside that Jas. In our opinion, no. Everything is perfectly preserved new, even though nearing a century in age. The dial has no hairlines. The 12 hour Arabic Dial Numerals still glisten new since they have seldom been exposed to any outside elements. The glass crystal on the case doesn’t have a single distracting mark.
