1887 Elgin 18 Size Pocket Watch Wheeler Model With Salesmans Sample Case

This is a nice antique mens timepiece from a local estate. It is 18 size, open face, stem wind and set, grade 44, model 5, Elgin, G. Wheeler model, 15 jewels. Serial #2117404 dates it to 1887. The movement is very nice and runs strong. It has not been cleaned or serviced, so I cannot guarantee it to be a perfectly reliable timekeeper. The porcelain dial is very good, with a fine hairline. The display back case is nickel, with a snap on bezel on each side, and a glass crystal. This is an original display case, and not one that was made from a regular case. The bezels are un-marked.
