1896 Antique Elgin 18 Size Hunter’s Case Gold Filled Pocket Watch Neat Case

I was particularly impressed with the ribbed edges of this case. This Elgin watch dates back to 1896 per the SIGNED movement’s serial # 6,399,341. This serial number dates this watch to 1896. This is a Model 4, class 6, grade 96. It is stem wound and lever set. It is currently running but I have seen it stop. The SIGNED dial has thin black Roman numeral hour markers and blued hands. Sunken seconds regiater at the 6 o’clock position. The front cover hing is over-sprung. The back cover and dust covers are good and tight. I have no service records for this antique Elgin watch.
