A stunning near Pristine Condition. “Travellers / Salemans” Case. An ORIGINAL Display Case. Its Sad that we see so many dealers and tinkers often passing off molested cases as genuine display backs, GENUINE exhibition cases are very rare, and highly prized by collectors, these were never “To public” sales and as such so few of these were made. This particular case is a snap back both front and back and both covers are fully stamp signed WALTHAM WATCH CO. A watch in this condition, we feel would be a solid investment and would only gain value in years to come, becoming a family heirloom this could be passed down generation to generation and if cared for will only gain value year on year.. Quite simply in near Museum Condition it is hard to believe that this watch is near 100 years old. To find another watch of this quality would be a tall task.. Is an All Steel case. Snap Back & Front securely closing all hinges are unstressed and close as securely as the day they were first made. Both mechanically & cosmetically the case is superb. 72mm case base to bow tip. So a FULL-Size gents pocket watch size 16s. Bevelled edge Domed mineral glass crystal in mint condition. Pure white porcelain enamel in sharp bright and near distinctive condition. Having large black Arabic numerals these are bold and distinctive crisp-edged and clear. Deep blood red Arabic minute marks/. The Hands are Geneve Blued Steel fine cut Spade and whip and again correct for this model. The subsidiary seconds dial is at the 6 positions and is swept perpetually by a Geneve blued steel. A superbly decorated engine turned 3/4 plate nickel silver finish movement.
