1859 Pre Civil War Waltham 1857 with Gold balance and original case

Offered to you is this Model 1857 caliber P. Barrtlell key wind/key set Waltham pocket watch. By the serial number (21281) this watch dates to 1859 so its a good chance it might have been worn by a Civil War solder. The movement features a gold balance wheel. The dial is in very good condition for its age but there is a hairline between the 11 and 12 o’clock markers. It has a nice set of hands. The watch is running. Check out the last two digits of the cases serial number, they match the last two serial numbers of the movement. The lid is a little hard to open, the pusher is probably worn. The coin silver case does show some small dents but for a watch over 159 years old its in great condition. Watches this old don’t come available often so don’t miss your chance to own it.
