The movement is a converted key wind and is lever-set and marked: Lafayette Patent Pinion No. The watch will run for a short time, but we do not know the service history, and it will need service to keep running and keep time. The dial is marked: Illinois Watch Co. The dial is in fair condition, with some hairlines – see photos. The case has engraving on the front and back. The back has a horse and the front has an ornate area for initials. There is a case number on inside the dust cover, but no other markings on the case. The dial is good condition, but there are some faint hairlines in the finish – see photos for condition please. The case is in good condition, there are small areas of wear-through on the bow/crown area, and there are small areas along the edge.
