Up for sale is a beautiful antique Elgin Veritas 18s Rail Road pocket watch that was made in 1902. It has a beautiful very high grade movement with 23 jewels! This watch looks to be all original. Movement : This watch runs great and keeps very good time. The beautiful lever set movement is in excellent condition, and has 23 ruby jewels, adjusted to 5 positions, temperature and isochronism. It has a jeweled motor and sapphire pallets, with gold screw settings, gold balance weights and beautiful plates! Dial : The original double sunk dial is in good condition. The dial has some hairlines and a tiny flake. Case : The lovely decorated gold filled case is in good condition. The case has some brass showing on the stem area. This non-running Waltham Watch has a beautiful case. The dial measures about 1 3/4 inches in diameter. The case is marked Sterling and has the number 28782. The watch looks like it a lever set. I have been unable to set the time or wind the watch. The movement is marked P. Bartlett and has the number 1728266. The minute hand is bent. The case does have some dings.
