Antique Verge Solid Silver Consular Case J Baron A Longni Pocket Watch Working. This is a fine example of a French Consular Cased Pocket watch made popular and supposedly preferred by Napoleon and probably made around the late 18th or early 19th Century. The front border has been finely engraved further showing the quality throughout the piece. The movement seems to be working although I have only tested it over a short time could probably do with a clean and service. Hallmarked: NB & French mark as photoed. Width: 4.5cm approx. Case is roughly 1.80 inches across (not factoring in crown/bow/pendant into measurement). Weighs roughly 54.5 grams (Right at 2 ounces). Made in the U. A – Silver (ish) in Color (Metal). Both Bezels thread off and on (better than snap on lids on other display cases) to view the Movement. Nice old School GLASS Crystals – CLEAR offering a most excellent view to the dial/movement. Like New Crown. The 12sz Elgin (15 Jewels) movement is GILT finish. Winds, sets, and runs; however, we do have service records for the movement. Black Numbers with the RED five minute markers.
