Pocket Watch Case

This is a nice pocket watch made by Elgin Watch Co, dated circa 1926, size 16,7 jewels, serial number 29277767, movement is clean , has been serviced every year since 2009 thru 8/2011. Crystal has no scratch, dial is clean with faint hairline crack along 11-12. Both sets of hands present. The 14K goldfilled case is provided by S WC Co, warranted Star 20 years , very good condition, clean and shiny back and front, not monogrammed. It measures 2 1/2 by 2 inches, weighs 100 grams on my digital scale. A good condition size 16 which has been serviced every year since 2009 is a good deal! Recently serviced again 2016. Nice Hamilton AN-5740 4992b with US Army Air Corp carry case. The GCT stands for Greenwich Civil Time. It was changed to GMT or Greenwich Mean Time in 1952. The AN designation is for Army-Navy. Manufacture date is 1950 for the Korean war period. Has spring mount inside to protect the watch while in the field or flying. The clear window allows the watch to be viewed while in it’s protective enclosure. The watch is running and keeping excellent time. The case has some wear to the back where the military engraving is.
