The case is in excellent condition, showing signs of occasional pocket carry. The dial is in excellent condition, except for a minor hairline between the seconds bit and the center hole. Beautiful 18k gold hunter case, à goutte. 18k gold brand on all lids. Cover at the front with engraved date 1878 and monogram in a flower decorated cartridge. The lids are also giloched on the inside. Ample engraved and signed dust cover. The case is very well preserved. Beautiful Champleve metal dial with Roman numerals. Small second with Arabic numerals. Engraved between the numbers. Lush and highly decorative ornate centre part and outer edge. Exquisite movement made in best quality with Geneva stripes and chronometer escapement.
