21 jewels Railroad Chronometer 16 size stem wind & lever set pocket watch in fine original looking and running condition. The movement was professionally serviced recently, runs strong and keeps accurate time. Serial number on the Series 11 high grade movement is 1260089 which dates it to circa 1915; has 21 ruby jewels, adjusted to temperature & 5 positions, has a double roller, safety pinion and a micrometric regulator. The set lever is near the 1:00 position; pull the lever up to set the time with the crown. The original porcelain enameled dial with bold numbers appears flawless. The deep blued steel hands are in fine condition. The original Howard yellow gold filled swing-out case is in extra fine condition with very light pocket wear and is original to the movement, has no brassing, monograms or engravings. (To view the movement, the crown must be pulled in the up position before swinging out the movement). The watch measures approximately 2-1/16 inches in diameter (not including the crown & bow) x 5/8 inch thick including the new old stock G-S acrylic crystal. The original bow and crown are in fine condition with light wear from use. Included with your watch is a heavy antique gold plated brass chain with a gold plated pocket clasp, measures approximately 13-1/4 inches long overall. This is a fine example of an original Howard Railroad Chronometer, a great timepiece for your collection & use, also makes a real nice gift! My pictures have many shadows & reflections and dust spots that will be cleaned, the watch looks much better in person!
