Offered is a large, heavy 18s Elgin G. Tougher to find large scallop-edge case is in great condition with medium even wear – to the eye the only wear to brass is on the bow, even the extreme edges of the case body don’t show brass. Missing or broken lift spring, and front cover opens past 90 degrees. Original enamel dial shows an edge chip and light hairline or two, decent original blued hands. Antique E Howard 17 Jewels Pocket Watch Running Condition 25 Yr Gold Filled Case w/ Fob Serial # 1001087 Boston MA Circa 1910 Owned By Clarence W Ashby. Recently acquired it at an estate sale. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself. Beautiful Howard Clock Co Pocket Watch that is 17 jewels and is in running condition. The pocket watch is open faced. The watch has a serial number of 1001087 which would make it as having been made in 1910. No dents to the case. Still has a nice gold colored finish on it. The watch face is white and probably made of porcelain. There is a hairline crack in the face that runs across the face from the seconds face to between the “8″ and “9″. A second crack across the seconds face and then a small one down by the 29 minute mark. The crystal over the watch face is intact, no cracks or chips. The minute marks are in blue and the hours are in black. The hands all are in working order, including the seconds hand and look proper to the pocket watch. The pocket watch is in running condition. The case is made of 25 year gold filled case. The case has a serial number of 2036587 on it and one of the other inner flaps. The pocket watch comes with a nice gold colored watch fob chain. A kink in the links in one place. The pocket watch is 2-11/16″ tall, by 1-15/16″ across, by 7/16 wide. The watch came in a vintage Elgin case that will come with the pocket watch as well. The clock has the name of the owner, Clarence W Ashby engraved into one of the inside covers and on the back plate.
