Pocket Watch Case

This is a RE-CASED Vacheron & Constantin high grade watch with 21 jewels and 8 adjustments. It does wind, set and tick. It is pendant set. Mechanically in excellent condition though I do not know it’s service history. The dial is signed as well as the movement. No issues with the dial or hands. The case is NOT original and is gold filled. It does have a LATER applied gold design with diamonds to the front of the case that I believe is solid gold. Inside the case covers there are some stains and other marks. The outer covers look nice. The crown sticks out too far. Covers open and close as they should but do open a little past 90 degrees. BEAUTIFUL 18K SOLID GOLD CASED SWISS POCKET CHRONOGRAPH WATCH IN WORKING CONDITION! I believe this nice watch was made by Agassiz – going by the movement layout. There is a dial marked’Patent’ with 30 minute register and an unusual outer track. The crown used used to wind the watch and to start/stop and reset the chronograph. The time is lever set. The case is of a style I haven’t seen before – see pictures. Made by CK Colby New York (I looked up the symbol) – so obviously cased here in the USA. There is an inner metal frame (not gold) that surrounds the movement. The back and front covers are 18k solid gold and are quite thick. Though I don’t know the gold weight I believe there is probably close to 60 grams of gold given that the watch weighs 134.8 grams. The bow and much of the pendant are solid gold as well. This watch appears to have seen very little use. It appears near new. The dial is perfect. The covers open and close as they should. Diameter of the watch is about 54.57mm.
