Good verge fusee pocket watch from 1780s. Movement us signed by Jn. Camden in London and bears serial number. London hallmarks seems to date inner case to 1786. Outer case is made in repousse technique and is decorated by antique scene. Outer case has traces soldering and repair, please see photos. Good quality British verge movement of second half XVIII. Nice balance bridge with peacock bird. Movement is in working condition, though I don’t guarantee it keeps time. The dial has some hairlines, chis and minor reparation near 12 hours, please see photos. Outer case diameter is 52mm, height is 58mm, thickness is 30mm. Watch comes with key. The watch is in good working condition, running STRONG and keeping excellent time. However, for optimal performances cleaned / serviced is to be done. One button action Swiss made chronograph. Stem wind and pin set, unmarked. All functions are working properly. Winding ok, time setting ok. The chronograph starts, stop and reset sharp to 0. The movement comes in a silver open face case. The case has a back cover, a dust cover and a front cover which are closing firmly, with a snap. Normal minor dents and opening scratches. The watch measure 51 mm in diameter and weights including the silver chain 105 grams. The white enamel dial and the hands are. In very good condition please see the pictures. Outer five-minute divisions, outer 1/5 second divisions for chronograph. The dial has full set of original hands. Is marked Breveté S. The mineral glass is original, in very good condition. This is a very nice vintage Hamilton railroad watch from a local estate. The movement is a 16 size model 992, stem wind, lever set, 21 jewels, gold center wheel. The movement is marked 992, and also ELINVAR on the pallet bridge. The movement runs strong and is in excellent condition. It has clean plates, full gold lettering, and the screw heads are clean and not damaged. I have not had this piece cleaned or serviced, so I cannot guarantee it to be a perfectly reliable timekeeper. The porcelain dial has bold black numbers, and is excellent. It has no hairlines and no chips. A truly great and desirable dial. Blued steel hands (hands show some wear). The case is 2-tone, with a yellow gold filled center, and silver metal bezel and case back. The case back is marked Wadsworth, and also with a Hamilton serial numbers (starts with H). The case is in excellent condition, with no dents or damage, and no engraving.
