This very large pocket watch is 143 years old. It is in excellent, and original condition. It runs fine, and it keeps accurate time. The diameter of the case is 2 3/8. The case is over 3/4 thick. The case is in excellent condition, as seen in the photos. The porcelain dial is marked ELGIN NAT’L WATCH CO. ” The dial has one very small (1/8″) hairline just above the seconds chapter, as seen in photo. The inside of the case is marked WARRANTED COIN SILVER. The 11 jewel movement is marked G. The movement looks clean. This is a key wind watch, and the key is included with the watch. Movement serial number 4758916, made in 1926. It works well and keeps excellent time. Dial is glass enameled double sunk Montgomery style. One hairline at 26 minute mark and surface scratch at 1 o’clock. Diamond shape blued steel hands are 100% original and in great shape. Solid 14 karat green gold and original Sangamo Special. Hinges are very strong, only wear is on the bow and crown. Covers open and close perfectly.
