Antique railroad pocket watch made by Hamilton grade 992, 16 size 21 jewel movement. Housed in a beautiful model 2 white gold filled bar over crown case. Movement works and keeps good time. Serial number is 2519409, made in 1928. Dial is glass enamel, double sunk. One very small and hard to see hairline at 31 minute mark, otherwise it is in mint shape. Case is a beauty. No brass wear in this case. Glass crystal and steel hands are in excellent shape as well. Thank you and very best of luck. THE CASE MEASURES 50MM IN DIAMETER MADE OF BRASS WITH GOLD GILT, HORN AND SMALL DECORATIVE PINS THAT ATTACH THE HORN TO THE CASE. THIS IS A UNDERPAINTED HORN CASE, INTERESTING PAINTING OF SERPENT AND THE TREE OF LIFE. THERE IS ALSO A SMALL BUTTERFLY AND FLY PAINTED ON THE EDGE. THE CROWN WHEEL VERGE MOVEMENT IS NICE, FEATURES A WELL ENGRAVED BALANCE COCK(WITH BIRD) AND TOMPION REGULATOR. IT IS EARLY TYPE WIDE PLATES, BIG PILLARS, FANCY STEEL CASE SPRING, AND SMALL WHEEL UNDER THE SPRING BARREL TO SET THE TENSION ON THE FUSEE CHAIN(EARLY STYLE). THE ARABIC PORCELAIN DIAL IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITHOUT CHIPS OR HAIRLINES. THE WATCH HAS OLD HANDS, PROBABLY REPLACED. THE WATCH HAS AN EXCELLENT DOMED CRYSTAL.
